Benefitting Carson Safe Grad
Join us for the Veterans Day 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run in honor of our nation’s veterans. This event is a wonderful opportunity to get active and show your patriotism. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a leisurely walk, we have something for everyone!
The fun run benefits both Carson High Safe Grad and Nation's Finest, a local nonprofit that supports veterans and their families. $5 from every paid registration goes directly to Nation's Finest, with the remaining proceeds supporting Carson High Safe Grad's Safe and Sober Graduation Party. Registration: Registration Fee: $35 - 5K Race / Walk: Runners age 19+ $25 - 5K Race / Walk: Mil/Vets, Students $15 - 1 Mile Fun Run: All-age friendly Standard registration prices by 11/3/2026. $5 price increase on 11/4/2026. Registration closes 11/10/2026. Event Schedule:
8:00 AM - Race Day Check-in: Pick up your race bib. 8:45 AM - Veteran Tribute: National Anthem and Flag Ceremony 9:00 AM - 5K Race Starts: A timed event for more competitive runners or anyone aiming for a personal best. 9:15 AM - 1 Mile Fun Run Starts: Perfect for families, beginners, or anyone just looking for a fun, low-pressure event. 9:45 AM - Awards Ceremony: Join us for the presentation of awards to the top finishers in 5K race categories of students and adults 19+, both male and female. Also, a prize will be awarded for the Most Patriotic Outfit.

Course Details:
5K Race: A fast and flat 5K course perfect for runners of all levels. The route will take you through scenic Riverview Park, running the Full Loop Trail twice. Enjoy views of this natural wetland area as you race for time or personal achievement. 1 Mile Fun Run: A flat, scenic course through Riverview Park, using the Southern Loop Trail. Participants can walk, jog, or run. It’s all about having fun while supporting a great cause! Parking, Toilets & Water: If the parking lot is full, please be courteous as you park in the neighborhood, and do not block driveways. A porta-potty will be on the premises. There will not be a water station on the course, but there will be water bottles and snacks at the finish. |
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Fun Run at Korean War Veterans Memorial Park. Your energy, enthusiasm, and community spirit made this year’s event such a meaningful way to honor our veterans and support our Carson High seniors.
Because of your participation and generosity, we raised more than $6,000 for Carson High Safe Grad and $800 for Nation’s Finest, helping fund a safe, substance-free graduation celebration for the Class of 2026 and supporting programs for local veterans and their families.
We’re especially grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, and students who helped make the day possible. From the setup crews to the cheering spectators, it truly was a community effort.
